So one of our features in our paid membership site, Beauty Business Superstars’ Gold Club is a monthly book review.
One which I believe might help further our members along on the path toward their dreams and aspirations.
I also then give away a copy or two of the book.
I figured I may as well shoot a second version of the review too, to share with the world!
You can grab your copy of Mind Hacking by Sir John Hargrave here.
And you can watch my review below…
Here’s the transcript of the review too…
Hello, this is my Mind Hacking by Sir John Hargrave book review.
So, I decided it might be a nice idea to start putting a few book reviews on our site for books which I have read and which I think might help you and maybe your business, too. So I was kind enough to be bought this as a gift recently and it is basically the idea of reprogramming your brain.
So your brain works in loops much of what you do of course is on autopilot and this book addresses how you can break those loops and how you can reprogam new loops which are going to serve you better and help you achieve your goals and to, well it suggests on the cover that you can use them to overcome addictions, conquer fear, fix your relationships, improve your career and find happiness!
Wow, big claims, indeed.
Now there are three stages which are outlined which are analysis, imagining and then reprogramming and broadly you identify your loops, then write better ones, you imagine the results that you want to get, you meditate on them and you repeat it over and over and over again.
And it claims that within 21 days you can reprogram those loops. And I would have to agree with that claim because I have gone through the 21 days and I have reprogrammed some of mine.
I’ll tell you what I liked about the book.
Very, very easy to read, despite being what a lot of people would probably consider to be a difficult subject.
The author is very entertaining, Sir John Hargrave, I don’t know if he’s a real Sir, I doubt it, but he’s incredibly entertaining chap. It’s broken down into real easy to manage chunks which is brilliant and it actually also comes with a 21 day audio program, so the idea being you listen to a chunk of around 25 to 30 minutes every day, so you’re going to need to set your alarm a little early to get into it.
But if you’re not prepared to sacrifice that to improve your career or find happiness or overcome your addictions, then what are you prepared to do?
Very simple to follow, and it’s got really cool mini games and challenges to do as you work through.
So really, really good.
What I didn’t like was the app you get, or it recommends, was a bit crap. If I’m honest.
Not really that useful.
The book and the audio don’t actually sync very well the audio goes through 21 days but you don’t know where in the book those days start and finish. So you might read a chapter in the book, listen to the audio and it repeats. Or you get too far ahead of one from the other. It’s like the audio has been bolted on afterwards, which I suspect it probably has.
So that’s my brief review of Mind Hacking How To Change Your Mind For Good In 21 Days by Sir John Hargrave.
It gets a definite thumbs up from me.
