Head of Customer Happiness and Chief of Admin (this is one role)

Run by husband and wife duo – Ryan and Hollie – Salonology has been going 6 glorious years. Whilst it was originally run alongside their multi award-winning day spa, selling that in January 2020 freed Hollie up to come and work within the business full time.
We help salons across the UK and beyond to be busier, happier and healthier.
We focus on building a strong salon, whilst ensuring the person behind it stays balanced and sane – whilst setting big magical goals and making them happen.
We are bit crazy, open, nuts, happy, friendly, (some would say) hilarious, but mainly, MASSIVELY passionate about what we do.
We have literally helped THOUSANDS of salons now – and we keep doing more, giving more, trying new things and growing.
Our perfect dream team member will be an upbeat character with a massive passion for the beauty industry.
You’ll likely have worked within the industry – so you’ll understand the lingo, the challenges faced and the amazing opportunities within in.
You’ll be extremely competent on a computer and will have no qualms taking control of certain tasks given and making sure they are done well.
Your role will be varied and interesting – where you’ll represent the Salonology brand across our communities.
We are seeking someone who will be free to attend Salonology social events, including our Diamond Club multi-day events which take place in Birmingham 3 times per year.
So, you’ll need to be able to be away from home for a few days, a few times a year.
It’s also incredibly important that you can self manage and be committed. The purpose of this role to alleviate administrative tasks from us both so we can focus on our roles more – so we need someone who doesn’t require ‘checking up on’ or micro management.
Location is less important than attitude and experience. We are happy to recruit anywhere across the UK – on the condition you are a positive self-starter, with great admin skills, flexibility and a can-do attitude.
- Working 3 hours per day at a set time as agreed – these 3 hours will need to be within the typical working day, but are negotiable.
- Responding to customer service enquiries
- Aiding clients with access to courses, resetting passwords etc.
- Posting within our Facebook communities, monitoring posts, managing membership requests
- Chasing lapsed membership payments
- Creating infographics within Canva
- Organising in-person events
- Organising on-line events
- Attending events (all expenses paid)
- Supporting events
- Additional admin tasks as and when needed
The role may vary as the business evolves – with more hours possibly being required for the future.
Predominantly, work will be computer based, so you’ll need access to your own computer and strong WiFi.
Proximity to Bournemouth would be an advantage but not a necessity.
Pay is £12 per hour.
