You may have already seen in the news that this year Facebook announced a new call to action button.
As with all new Facebook features it hit the US first, before being rolled out to the rest of the world.
I’m thrilled to say that mine has arrived, and maybe yours now has too!
Here I’ll explain what it is, what is does and why you want one.
What’s A Call To Action Button, Hollie?
In case you’re not aware, the new call to action button sits on your cover image and allows people to learn more about you and your product or service.
In actual fact, it allows them to do much more than just that.
You can choose what the button says, and the current available options are;
- Book Now
- Contact Us
- Use App
- Play Game
- Show Now
- Watch Video
These are the current available options, but no doubt more will be rolled out in the future.
Once you’ve chosen which button you’d like there are a few simple choices regarding where to direct people, and then you’re done!
The correct choice for you will vary of course, but to begin with I’m going to send people to my website so that they can grab their free copy of my ebook, 7 Salon Success Secrets.
After I shall probably test the video option.
As will all marketing the trick is to test, test, test! Once you’ve done that, test some more! Only then can you determine which will work best for you.
Once you’ve completed the simple steps you’ll notice a new button on the right of your page which will show your results, making it really simple to track your clicks.
So, What’s In It For Me?
Well let’s be clear about something straight away, if you have access to this button then you should activate it immediately!
Any opportunity to have an additional way of communicating with your clients, in such a prominent position, should be seized with both hands!
However not only does this give you a great way of connecting with your clients, but it also gives you the opportunity to take them away from Facebook and on to your website. Something you should certainly look to do.
Why? Well you control what happens on your website and not a third party so you no longer have to play by their rules. Getting your clients away from Facebook and onto your email list should be something you actively try and do all the time so that you can keep the lines of communication well and truly open!
You might like to drive people to your YouTube page so that they can see a video or your premises, or how good you are at providing your services.
Perhaps you might want to send them directly to your booking form so that you can take bookings directly from Facebook!
There are lots of ways you might like to utilise this new feature, and they are all winners for you!
And did I mention it’s FREE too?!
Has your button been activated yet?
